"Nobody loved this man, including his mother and the rest of his relatives for reasons unknown to him or anyone else. The members of his family were treated cruelly because they were related to him. In fact, it was a wonder that nobody had successfully killed Gerardo, for many had tried over the years."
Gerardo (aka Gerry) was born on Gratto 21 to a family attempting to live as human on land. His father left to return to the ocean, leaving him and his mother behind. While his mother tried to keep a low profile, Gerry tried to make friends, only making life more miserable for his mother since everyone hated the foreign vibes he expended.
He is pure naiad.
His greatest flaw is his tendency to be a bit of a pushover.
The primary reason why Gerry is such an expert swordsman is because he was targeted by his trainers and thus, trained the hardest.
