Sun, Moon, & Sky

       Xyntriav has two suns called the Northern and Southern sun, which set from North to South, Southern sun first. This makes it so that a day is 48 hours long and gravity is lighter, which in return slightly increases the lifespan of Xyntriav organisms.

During the first twelve hours of a day on Xyntriav, the sky is a bright, vivid blue. After the Northern sun sets and the next twelve hours of the day proceed, the sky is a hot pink.

     Xyntriav has one moon that is three times the size of Earth’s moon, so one should expect to see a very large moon in Xyntriav’s night sky. However, the moon’s gravity is ironically just as strong as the gravity on Earth despite its size so that the tides are equivalent to those on Earth. The moon is made of a crystal-like substance called hancllium. Because of this, the moon changes color frequently. The color of the moon is caused by the angle that the light of the Northern sun hits it.

The occasions of each color of the moon are as follows:

 

White – First week of the month

Orange (Setting Moon) – Second week of the month

Green – Third week of the month

Purple – Fourth week of the month

Blue – Fifth week of the month

Orange (like Earth’s Harvest Moon) – Sixth week of the month

Yellow – Seventh week of the month

Red – Eighth week of the month

Lavender - Ninth week of the month

No Moon – Tenth week of the month

      On most occasions, the moon’s light is very strong. For instance, on a Blue Moon night, everything looks blue. However, there are some occasions when the moon will be a certain color, but it won’t produce enough light to make everything appear that color. A good example is when Xyntriav’s moon appears like Earth’s Harvest Moon. Earth’s Harvest Moon is orange, but that doesn’t make the rest of the world appear orange. Same as Xyntriav’s first orange moon, of which Noellites call, the Setting Moon, since it only makes the area around it a bit orange. However, this isn’t the only time where Xyntriav’s moon has dim light. It does this when it’s white and yellow as well. These are the only times when Xyntriav’s moon produces little light.
