"Calder had enough. He threw Jorge against the base of a tree with his front hooves, and set the tip of his horn at Jorge's neck...
"'I have plenty of business here,' Calder explained. 'Gerry saved my life too, and as is tradition I am obligated to return the favor... Until he has left that palace dead or alive, my debt remains.'"
Calder was born on Malla 19 in the Maja Forest. For centuries inhabitants of the Maja Forest were not allowed to leave the forest and this didn't sit well with unicorns. So they left to migrate to the Lucierna Forest and along the way, Calder was captured by a group of carnies to feature him in their Exotic Creatures Exhibit. Fortunately, with Rein's help, he managed to escape.
He is a unicorn, all of which are native to the Maja Forest.
His greatest flaw is his tendency to be pushy.
Even though unicorns are herd creatures, Calder prefers to be alone.
